for sultan, full HD and HD ready both are same, it means they have driver engine to be able to produce high definition play back of your moving picture record. first you choose your DVD player. be aware than it has HDMI port and can plays back up to 1080p ('p' means progressive) coz some can plays 1080i only ('i' means interlaced) and come with cheaper prize but will not withdraw all your LCD potential. after u have made up ur mind, then choose ur LCD with the same brand name, if ur player is sony, then better pick sony LCD coz the compatibility is better. but if u want to play a BlueRay disc movie, u can buy PS3 & plays it there, u will have the real hi-def experience. BlueRay disc player is still very expensive here, dunno why while out there already getting cheaper. should go online then. ok happy shopping
theoretically, a good product of LCD panel should last at least 5-10 years if it being used continuously. around 50000- 100000 hours. I'm still using my 7 years old 14" lcd monitor by sharp. lcd is better than any other kind of screen. what makes different now a days is the features come with each lcd product. some will only can be used as computer monitor while other able to plays many kind of input: HDMI-DVI, S-VIDEO, RCA, D-SUB/VGA, etc etc. I think lcd produced by sharp, sony, samsung, toshiba, and other big player are all good, what people should consider is the feature they need. for all my picture production needs, I will only use LCD, safe & last longer.
samsung is the worst, i tell you. whether it would be compo, tv, AC, and the rest of the appliances, its the worst. trust me, i've tested it.... sony is still the best... sharp is good... toshiba is ok.... but not samsung....
What is the best LCD of Sony?which size? How long is an LCD will last??i mean how many years, because they were saying only 3 years then you have to throw them away. Is this true?
