I just bought a new Iphone (unlocked and modified), i insert my sim card, i can call out, recieve msgs and e-mails.

My problem is I can't receive any phone calls, it gives the message "Can not be reached" to whomever tries to call me ...i tried re-starting it, no use, so HELP!

I got a 3G, and I've used 3.0 and now 3.0.1 with no issues at all. Mine is legally unlocked (bought from Australia).

What you can try is, go to Settings > General > Reset and select (Reset Network Settings) and see if that does anything.

If that didn't work, If it were me I would just restore to 3.0.1 by downloading that firmware and select restore on itunes while holding shift and select the 3.0.1 ipsw. But ofcourse I don't know if your phone is legally unlocked or not and I also don't know if you know how to jailbreak\unlock if you need to so I can't advise on that.

Try that and let us know how it goes.

As of what I understand..... I guess this should help... very simple.. I guess u using a iphone 3g all you need to do is to go to the setting and switch of ur 3g and switch on ur data roaming, and then restart the phone. It should work, or else upgrade your baseband so that you can start using 3g service in Qatar.

PS: QR 100/- service charges.. plz pay asap! Lol... he he

Hope this solves your problem

there is a problem even i have the same problem

after upgrading it to 3.0 it started while on 2.2 it was working smooth. Guess the 3.0 upgrade is only useful on 3gs.

while my 2g upgraded to 3.0.3 works smooth but 3g i get the same Not Available or Out of reach.
