Today's Gulf Times reported that Vodafone will be here in March 2009, so for sure the new 3G iPhone won't be here before then...

Try iSpot at the 3rd floor of City Center. Its the first ever Apple Premium Reseller in Doha, Qatar.

Here's what it means, taken directly from Apple's official website:

I absolutely feel for you! Qtel screwed us with a lot of $$$.

Even if Vodafone is a bit more expensive, which will be more likely.. I'd still switch.

It's like a breathe of fresh air.

I think that Vodafone did not give farther information about lunching date, offers and service because of two things:

1 - there is some problems in regulation her in Qatar because the lows give Qtel so many rights to protect the monopoly of the telecommunication sector e.g. if Vodafone wants to release new services or offers they should take a permission from Qtel.

2 - Qtel is eager to know Vodafone new planes in Qatar so they can prepare them selves, and if you notice the new services and offers that Qtel is trying to prompt.

but I think it is too late for Qtel, customers are already waiting Vodafone and for my self I will switch to Vodafone even if the rates are higher and the services are worst to get even with Qtel.

Vodafone come and save our souls.

I have been doing some research on when Vodafone will actually be in Qatar but so far, I found nothing.

All I've read is that they have won the bid against middle east telecom companies like MTC, etisalat etc.

Perhaps anyone from Qatar Foundation knows??

I suggest that you wait until the release of iPhone 3G by Vodafone, it comes with new features and cheaper price also you can use it as a cell phone.

if you need it so badly try to borrow some body's else!
