Iphone 16 GB 3 GS.(3.1.2 )locked

Dear QL members,
Iphone 16 GB 3 GS.3.1.2 locked while updating with itunes. Before I was using that with vodafone and no problem at all. now it is showing 'No services'and emergency calls only. Can any body experiences the same problem?? Cany any body help me out to fix thix this problem? Any shops in doha to fix this? I request to kindly help and share your knowledge
When I connect to itunes it shows
"the sim card inserted in this phone does not appear to valid.only compatible SIM cards from a supprted carrier may used to activate iphone"

Hi venky 83, u said it. I updated it with itunes. i was not aware that it should not be update.. Nw wat i can say!!!!! It is locked..................

It is 3. 1.2. but really i dont know the 5.11.07 or not? Hw can I check that? Can u plz advice me?

Did you upgrade the software? How come it suddenly got locked?
Jus t go to Souq Najada. Any tom, dick or harry will solve the problem for you in minutes. They have the concerned software with them.
3.1.2 with 5.11.07 modem firmware can be unlocked and the unlock (Blackrain) is already available for months. It's the latest firmware 3.2 which has no unlock available yet.
hi sir, i have same problem.. & i m going to 1 shop who is repairing iphone (al saad) he's say me just wait 1 week, coming new software to unlock (3.1.2).
