Humax Satellite TV Receiver IR-Free - Unstable with DSTV PAS710 Service

For about 2.5 months this unit has been freezing up intermittently and the only way to reset the unit is to switch off the AC power and switch the unit on again. I have taken the unit into the Humax agents in Qatar several times (they have replaced both the PSU and main board and upgraded the software to the latest release) but the problem is still there. My friend who also has the same Humax model has the same problem.

Other than getting an older model has anybody got any other bright ideas?

For those considering DSTV, I would strongly recommend that you do not purchase this Humax model.

I had the same problem, all I did was visited a friend in this Souq behind the Banques street, its the electrical shop infront of Al-3enabi, all he did was changed something in the board for 50 QRs, and wooop, its back as normal :)
