I'm a big fan of electronics and gadgets. Planning to buy an Eee PC, so wanted to know any positive feedback from QLers who own Eee PCs.

1000 series for work-people,...900 series for student.

but the price outside of qatar much more cheaper that what ardvertize in QL.

Anyway,... ACER ASPHIRE One now introduce in QATAR, check in LULU, and the price also more reasonable (QR1600).

Aspire One,...all the features are the same with EEE PC 1000 series.

1 thing that make different,... Asipre One has a GSM slot, means you can attached your GSM card for sms or HSDPA connection.

Thanks for the input guys. So which is better, Eee PC 901 or 1000H? But mostly I see that the experience with these devices is not so positive. More input will be much apprecieted. Thanks in Advance.

I got 3 of them from Canada and I had one since last year. They are pretty cool and very handy.

I've played around with the eeepc and I have to say that it's a good device, but the keyboard sucks! The keys are really small.. if you're looking for an ultra portable machine with a price range of around the same as the eeepc, i would highly recommend the MSI Wind or the Acer Aspire One. I'm not sure about the availability here in Doha but you can definitely order it from the states.

Cheers!

My friend bought it and I checked it today. After installing the OS, there is only 1GB disk space left. Not sure how usefult it will be. You have to install office, acrobat reader and few media players. then you'll be left with no space for storing any files, I guess.

If you buy it, order a big USB secondary memory (pen drive or a hard disk) with it.
