Can anyone help? Connecting my landline to my Laptop...

Hey. It has not been long since i have arrived in qatar. And i was wondering if i could connect my Laptop to my Landline to make calls and recieve them. Im not looking for somthing like Skype.

I want to make calls from my landline > Via My Laptop.
I have the necessary adapter in my laptop, but i just dont know how to set it all up.

If anyone has done this or has knowledge, please do share.

Hi, If you are using Vista then it is posible, with windows xp you cannot do it without a 3rd party software.

In windows Vista, you can use the fax program to send and recieve faxes and calls. just connect the phone cord to RJ11 port of laptop and use the fax program (search for fax in start menu), or u can also use 3rd party free softwares to dial from laptop. all the best.
