I bought a 32" LCD TV and sent to my home country. I try to open and search for channel but this LCD TV can't able to receive local cable channel. The technician told that I need to buy audio/video converter?. Anybody knows about this and where can I buy this converter here in Qatar?

Thanks Folks....I bought 32" one Sony and one 32" Samsung. I first bought the Samsung LCD TV and when I tried to connect it with Philippine cables, as the program progresses, i see right before my eyes those channels in the cables, but when the search program was over none of those channels registers (or programmed) in the TV. So I thought i bought a defective TV. So I decided to buy 32" LCD TV Sony brand and send it back home, and when they try to open it, same problem occur. Actually my wife told me it will costs around 2,000.00 Pesos. But i want to canvass how much it will costs here.

Bro,

Check with another technician to confirm his findings. It is cheaper to buy the converter back home. I bought my audio/video converter 3 years ago somewhere in Raon , Sta. Cruz area.

Cheers,

I don’t think it need any conversion because all new the TVs can support all encoding.also all the required cables are coming with new LCD. Check with another technician is a good idea.

which model you have?
