Eligibility requirements for residency at HMC

Hello

i intend to apply for residency at Hamad medical corporation in Doha and it is listed among the eligibility requirments for application that a 1 year internship after graduation is required. And i am graduating from a medical school who is adopting a french medical teaching style in which graduation takes 8 years including a one year internship but before graduation. Does that year fulfill that requirement despite that it is done before graduation?
