Cyber security in schools

Just now I was reading article on how government is looking at ways to strengthen cyber security as the cyber attacks are getting more sophisticated. 

One thing I would like to ask why cyber security subject is not taught in higher school?

 Kids are getting smarter and even if introduced right at the middle level in school like 6/7 standard, students will get an insight on how to keep their systems secure and teaching them cybersecurity at very young age lays foundation and make them smart coders/implementers.

 They should be taught the very basic of cybersecurity, its concepts and architecture. 

This will definitely bring awareness about cybersecurity and how vital it is at present and in future.
