Shawarmas are a staple food enjoyed thoroughly by many in Qatar, whether it be locals or visitors from abroad. Predominately found in Middle Eastern cuisine, it is popularly known for its tender, flavorful and juicy meat which is slowly roasted over low heat for a long period of time.

The soft shawarma bread (flatbread or pita) combined with pickles, fresh vegetables, tahini, french fries, and thinly sliced chicken, beef, or even lamb, is a mouth-watering delight for foodies across Qatar.

The possibilities are endless with the shawarma as many restaurants allow you to add more ingredients or even make it really spicy, enabling you to have shawarmas of variety each time. The average price for the standard-sized shawarma is QAR 7-8, whereas, those with a large appetite can get the large shawarma for around QAR 12-13.

Here is a list of some of the best shawarma restaurants in Qatar.

Jabal Lebnan Restaurant

Well-renowned in Qatar for its juicy shawarmas, Jebal Lebnan’s special spicy chicken shawarma for QAR 12 is a must-try. With a fairly large portion filled with your favorite meat, garlic sauce, fries, lettuce, and a side of olives, the Turkish restaurant does not disappoint with its truly unique and consistent flavor.

We also recommend the big Shakaf sandwich at a price of QAR 16 for meat lovers.

You can either visit their branches in Al Nasr and Al Gharafa or simply use food delivery apps to get your spicy shawarma today.

Mashawi Al Arabi

With the right amount of chicken/beef, garlic sauce, French fries, and lettuce, Mashawi Al Arabi is unrivaled when it comes to large and delicious shawarmas in Qatar. With four different sizes, the Humor size at QAR 16 offers a challenge for many daring enough to try.

You can find their restaurants located near Al Nasr, Old Airport, and Muaither in Doha.

Petra Restaurant

Unlike many shawarma restaurants in Qatar that use Arabian flatbread, Petra’s shawarma offerings come with pita bread. Enhanced by their succulent grilled chicken, tahini sauce, and French fries, these 7-riyal shawarma are certain to please those who love thick bread.

They currently have locations in Bin Omran, Al Nasr, and Umm Ghuwailina.

The Four Bakers

Starting at a reasonable price of QAR 9 for chicken and QAR 10 for meat, The Four Bakers is well-known for its thin bread that comes slightly toasted. The salty pickles complement the well-seasoned chicken and their special sauce gives a slightly tangy taste that many have come to love.

They also offer Shawarma bites for QAR 4 and, as mentioned in its name, comes in small yet cute bite-sized form.

You can find their restaurant in Abu Hamour, Doha, or even order online to get it safely delivered to your home.

Turkey Restaurant

Turkey Restaurant is well-known for its tender meat that melts in your mouth as soon as you take that first bite. Their shawarma comes with a special tomato paste that can be found in many Turkish shawarma restaurants.

The restaurant stands out for its amazing garlic paste that comes in the best viscosity consistency for both the shawarmas and other food offerings in their restaurant.

You can find their locations near Old Aiport Area and Najama, Doha.

All of these shawarmas can be ordered through various delivery apps so that you can enjoy it in the comfort of your own home.
