Karak is known by many names in different regions. Middle East’s popular drink is a favorite in Qatar. Chai tea, or masala tea are variations that are well known by tea lovers. The ingredients are the same; hot water and milk, black tea, sugar and some spices. The differences occur in types of spices and sweetener and type of milk according certain preferences.

Qatar’s karak has a special taste that gives it its distinct flavor. Black tea is complemented with sugar and cardamom, and the preferred milk is the condensed type. All these ingredients impart the rich flavor and texture to hot karak. Here are some of the favorite karaks in Qatar.

Baba Chapatea

Paratha and karak is such a flavorful combination, especially for South Asian taste buds. Baba Chapatea offers delicious combinations of paratha flavors with rich, creamy karak. Cheese, falafel and Oman chips, nutella, keema, shakshuka are all paratha fillings and flavors. You can head out any time for your favorite snack and karak, as it is open 24/7.

Poori and Karak

Poori and Karak at Al Gharafa brings a twist in the snacks with tea concept. Poori is thin round bread made from flour fried in oil, that imparts a crispy touch to it. The tea is impeccable, and pooris with variety of fillings make it doubly delightful.

Tea Time

As the name suggests, Tea Time serves tea and snacks 24 hours of the day. Its branches are located at many places across Qatar. Park and wait for the attendees to come take your order. Their menu boasts of sandwiches, burgers, shwarmas, smoothies, juices and snacks to go along with your tea.

Chapatti and Karak

The aroma filled piping hot karak at Katara will leave you satisfied every time you purchase it. Take a quick bite in the form of chapatti to down with spicy karak and enjoy the unique space and view Katara offers.

Al Naimi Cafeteria

Located at several places in Qatar, Al Naimi Cafeteria serves the specialty karak for QAR 1.

The cafeteria is located at several sites including Barwa Village, Al Wakrah, Al Gharaffa, Al Sadd, Old Airport area and in Aziziyah.

Karak Mqanes

Located at Muaither and The Pearl Qatar, Karak Mqanes offers delicious hot karaks with an array of snacks to choose from. Tea flavors are just the right blend of all that tea lovers crave; not too sweet, not too thick, with just the right kick to it.
