Which is the best shop /store buy computer (Desktop)

Thanks for your help. I was not in position to waste any more time so I went to sofitel and bought machine with following specs

Intel Quad Core 2.83 Ghz Q9550

4 GB RAM

17” LG LCD

And rest of the stuff for PC

It cost me 2270 QR in Total

I would advice you to buy a branded laptop rather than facing all these hurdles for non-reliable things. As long as you go cheep for price, the worth of item is getting down as we all know in general. Go for branded desk top or branded pc, better. good luck...

Thank you all for your replies. I am now exploring another option and now looking for a quad core system with at least 4 GB RAM for one month rent or something. I have a exam after 1 month (on 6th of Oct) for which I need this high end machine Any body can help please reply.

there are many of them advertaised here in QL ..why dont you check them out?? you might get a better bargain than sofitel shops :)

go for Tornado Computers (Gigabyte) behind Sofitel has good Gigabyte cases

oh yeah sofitel assembled pc's also come with 1 year warranty good enough for me :)

I dont see the logic in buying a branded pc that goes for double the price just coz of the brand name when they all use the same bloody parts that u get in the open market. Secondly with assembled computer u can choose what u want and adjust the price on certain items/bargaining. You cant do that with the branded ones coz they are "fixed prices".

if you are looking for branded PC then go to PCone, they are simply best in it ...they have in-house service center also

but if you are looking for assembled PC, then go to Sofitel. you can buy parts and assemble yourself or get someone from there itself to assemble it for you ..

I will backup smoke on this one

1.- Get your specs

2.- Go to sofitel

3.- Walk around the many stores and ask for help on building/and quoting the price of what you want.

Take a choice/decision.

If you still don't know the city just take a cab and ask the driver to drop you in Sofitel.

sofitel cant remember the name of the shop but its the one just next to the stairs ground floor. Best u take ur specs there and shop around to see who gives u the best deal and always bargain.
