Using VPN for streaming purposes?

Hello everyone,

Please excuse my bothering but I am new to this forum and I have a question about VPNs in Qatar.

A few months ago, I moved to Doha for work with my wife and 8 yo daughter, the thing is my little kid can't spend a day without disney+ & as you may know it's not yet available here in Qatar and I'm really sick of torrenting and chasing Disney series illegally on the internet, so I started looking for a solution to go around these geo-restrictions and later on it turns I could access disney+ and any other service with a VPN, so I purchased a plan from Nordvpn as they offer a very decent price and everything works fine so far.

but I heard VPN users could face a huge fine and even jail in the UAE, so my question is will using a VPN get me in any trouble here in Doha?

Suggest, you go over to the Ooredo or Vodafone office and ask them this question. They have many branches in Qatar. Possibly, they can guide you on this.
