My broadband internet - Qtel 4MB - has been just miserable recently. Various speed tests available in the net indicate that the true speed of my connection is only ~max 0.5Mb/s! Do you have similar experiences? What kind of results the speed tests are giving to you?
Distance to exchange is also a factor. I could only upgrade to 2MB and that's roughly what I'm getting. Suggest you speak to Qtel and get them to confirm that what you are paying for is actually feasable!

It depends entirely on the time a day and time of year (much faster in the summer), but still usually a fraction of what they promise.
I know what you mean...but it's not. The true speed is almost 10 times less than what I am paying for.
Isn't .5mb the same as 4MB (8 bits to a Byte and all that?)?
