It is called "Phishing" means luring of an internet user to reveal personal details (like passwords and credit card information) on a fake web page or email form pretending to come from a legitimate company (like their bank)

NO IT IS NOT TRUE

Its just an attempt to get your login credentials for Yahoo.

Consider - If Yahoo sent you the email then they obviously know your login name and as you are reading your mail then your password works. Anyway they own the servers and can pull your data off them directly.

What would be interesting is the 'headers' of the email which define the route by which the mail got to your account. Its worth working out how to read them because it will allow you to identify scams in the future.

regards

Andy
