Its either more malware on your system or more likely a failing hard disk.

Backup your data whilst it is still working to an external drive then do a scandisk and get it to check all the sectors (do it in that order because the scandisk process may kill more sectors and your data). If scabdisk finds a lot of bad sectors then its probably not worth trying to fix the disk as more sectors will soon fail. Just get a new disk and reinstall the entire system.

Its possible to clone your disk onto a new one but it takes some knowledge to do this. You may wish to consider going to the computer souk (old Sofitel) and getting one of the places there to do it for you. If the old disk has a lot of bad sectors you may need to replace some of the operating system files which have been corrupted. Again they should be able to help you.

Of course like a good owner you have being taking regular backups of all your data files so it won't be a problem if you lose the entire contents of your disk ;-)

If you have a CD or DVD in your drive during startup the computer will try to read it. If it is corrupted, the computer will read forever.

Simple as this, you got a problem with your harddisk, I had the same problem and i fixed it.

1. Reformat your harddisk.

2. Install a clean copy of XP or windows X

3. Run windows surface scan.

4. Mark bad sectors with western digital Data life guard

tools or any other harddisk tools that suits your

harddisk manufacturer.

4. Install anti virus and spyware blasters.

That's it you are done. Wait for other QLER's to respond too.

i think your pc is still infected. have it cleaned with a better virus scanner. get an antivirus that boots from a cd and scan with that.
