iPad connectivity

So, I'm thinking of an iPad, but need to know will my peripherals still connect.

I need to connect a USB card reader AND Pocket HDD together to transfer photos directly from one to the other. Is this possible?

ipad version two...out later this year will have all these new features..WAIT!!

Transfer photos from camera to Pocket HDD

Will look at a netbook instead
