my kid generated a windows password, now he doesn't remember the password. So how can i remove windows user password which i dont know ? how can i access my desktop PC operating system ?
A few days ago, I experienced the same problem. I was stuck at the login screen and can't install any new software to fix the problem. I have spent a whole day on searching related tricks and most of the tricks I can't get them to work. I have no other way but to purchase a software - Reset Windows Password, it removed my windows password successfully..I wish it also works for you. Good luck!
There are many Windows password reset tools, but I haven't personally tested them. Windows Password Recovery Basic is a widely spread edition though...
Once reboot the computer with CD/DVD/USB, remove the lost or forgotten password and then log in to your computer without any password.
If that should not work, you could use some third party software. Windows Login Recovery is easy-to-use shareware to reset forgotten Windows password. It is designed to create a windows password reset disk. You could follow these steps to recover your password:
Step 1: Download Windows Login Recovery and install it on another computer which has a CD/DVD writer.
Step 2: Run the software and burn the ISO image file into a blank CD/DVD.
Step 3: Recover Windows XP administrator password with nearly burned password recovery disk.
Step 4: Reboot your locked computer without a password required.
When we install Windows XP, it automatically creates an account "administrator" and sets its password to blank. So if you have forget your XP login password then try this:
Step 1: Boot computer and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice when you see windows login screen. It'll show classic login box.
Step 2: Type "administrator" (without quotes) in username field and leave password field blank, press Enter and you should be able to login Windows.
Step 3: Now you could change or remove other accounts' passwords, including administrator password and other standard users' passwords

1. if you have admin password and you kids only user password then no problem
2. if your kids using admin password then you can't login; then you have to hypnotize / hypnosis your kid. if lucky, you kid will tell you the password

We need not format all the PC's or the Server ,which we forgot the admin password .For this issue to be solved
U need a spare machine or laptop.
Go to google.com and type there
spotmau powersuite 2010 free and download the ISO image of that software burn it on a blank cd.
Insert the Cd with spotmau software and boot from cd. By either changing the boot order. depending on the PC by pressing del or esc or f1...
Then u see on the screen delete admin password.
click on the button .
then restart machine let it load onto windows .
Then definately u will see that u r admin password has gone.
U will be able to login easily.

**this would work if administrator user was left unprotected at the time of windows installation
