FYI - the first official Android 4.0 update from Samsung, labeled as XXLPQ (latest official version).
Well, there are some features missing from the earlier leaks, firmware XXLPH and XXLPJ, like there is no 3d anim effect in drawer and while swiping home screens, which was present in XXLPH and XXLPJ, but other than that, XXLPQ is cool. But i prefer XXLPH.

I will update it for free with ICS XXLPH which is the latest version and no issues with battery. I am using my device without any issues.

Yes. ICS 4.0.3 is now available in Qatar. Update with KIES.
do not update? whoever updated galaxy s2 with ICS is regretting. horrible battery performance. battery doesn't last more than 1 hour. GB 2.3.5 is the best version to have on S2. the other guy who has responded to your question. check his other messages. looks like he screwed up a S2 with ICS and wants to exchange with S2 with GB
The commercial release date is indefinite. The reason is somewhere I read that Sony Ericsson equivalent phone will be rolled out with ICJ first and only then the similar models Samsung version will be rolled out.
So only after the ICJ release of Arc-S and Arc they will update for Samsung Galaxy S2. Right now even the ICJ version of SE is no where near the horizon.
