St. Regis embarks on a cleanliness mission along with the MMUP
Al-Safliya Islands is a well-known and well frequented tourist spot in Qatar. However, the island’s beauty is greatly diminished by the amount of litter and garbage strewn all over the place.
The St. Regis Doha, a reputed luxury hotel in the country joins hands with the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning to clean the island and to restore its natural beauty and splendor.
Over 80 associates and senior leaders including The General Manager of the St. Regis Doha, Tareq Derbas, joined forces to support MMUP in this initiative.
The clean-up drive coincides with “Arab Environment Day” and aims to raise awareness about conserving Qatar’s environment and natural habitat, giving people a better way to experience the world.
St. Regis Doha’s participation in this local initiative comes in line with the Starwood Cares for the Community’ - Together as One Campaign, which is a global associate volunteerism program that runs every year in the Starwood group across its properties and offices worldwide.
The Together as One Campaign is an opportunity that unites employees from different levels of the organization to help make a difference in their local communities.
