NBK Automobiles unveils new range of Mercedes-Benz SUVs
Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, the exclusive dealers of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, launched new models of their celebrated SUV range including the GLC, GLE and for the very first time, the GLE coupe.
The exclusive launch event took place at the NBK Automobiles showroom located on Salwa Road, in the presence of NBK Automobiles Chairman, HE Sheik Nawaf Nasser Bin Khaled Al Thani, and other dignitaries, clients and special guests.

Invited guests were also treated to the special unveiling of the new models by Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Bin Khaled Al Thani, that left them amazed with their designs and key features.
New GLC
The new GLC is in top form. Fuel consumption has been cut by up to 19 percent compared with the previous model. At the same time, the AIR BODY CONTROL multi-chamber air suspension that is without parallel in this segment, the extended range of DYNAMIC SELECT dynamic transmission modes and the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive increase not only the ride comfort, but also the vehicle's sporty agility - whatever surface it is driving on.
A key focus of the totally new interior design is the dashboard and the center console with its flowing lines. In comparison to its predecessor, the new model is substantially more spacious for front and rear occupants alike. This is further enhanced by more intelligent packaging, and in some areas the interior dimensions have increased more than the exterior dimensions: Mercedes-Benz has applied an extensive package of measures to enhance the GLC's energy efficiency and performance substantially. Modified or new drive systems, outstanding aerodynamics and intelligent lightweight design are the primary factors behind the vehicle's fuel efficiency.

FIRST TIME GLE Coupe
The new GLE Coupé is an all-new take on the hallmark appearance and sportiness of the established Mercedes-Benz coupés. Alongside the two-door C, E and S-Class models plus the four-door CLS and CLA Coupé models, the GLE Coupé complements the successful vehicle family at a new, higher level – in the truest sense of the word.
Popular equipment details are also combined in attractive packages for the GLE Coupé. The Driving Assistance package Plus includes DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist and Stop&Go Pilot, PRE-SAFE® Brake with pedestrian detection, BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and PRE-SAFE® PLUS. The Parking package with 360° camera and Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC guarantees an excellent overview and problem-free manoeuvring into and out of parking spaces. Night-time vision is improved by the LED Intelligent Light System which is a standard feature on all models; adverse weather conditions resulting in impaired visibility are defused by MAGIC VISION CONTROL – the heated, adaptive windscreen wiper system.
As an option, the latest generation of COMAND Online offers perfect infotainment with a 20.3 cm (8-inch) display and intuitive touchpad. The system also includes a DVD player and Traffic Sign Assist with traffic sign recognition including wrong-way warning function. If required, the customer can equip COMAND Online with the 6-disc DVD changer, Rear Seat Entertainment System with remote control, TV receiver or Bang & Olufsen AMG sound system.
GLE
With the start of the new GLE generation, all models are equipped with the nine-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission as standard. The DYNAMIC SELECT handling control system lets you personalise your drive settings to suit your driving style. The ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM provides better driving comfort both when cornering and on straights as well as expanded off-road capabilities.
Thanks to the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system, the GLE delivers outstanding dynamics and precise handling, even in tough driving conditions. The advantages of the new GLE include best on-road and off-road handling, outstanding spaciousness and high levels of active and passive safety.
The headlamps, daytime running lamps, rear lights and third brake light are all equipped with LED technology. The DYNAMIC SELECT handling control system lets you personalise your drive settings to suit your driving style.
