Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park Receives ISO 22000: 2005 Certification
Following the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point System (HACCP) accreditation, Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park continues to set its food safety benchmarks.
The hotel has recently been presented the ISO 22000: 2005 certification, an international food safety management system, by Bureau Veritas Qatar last December 5, 2016.
Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park is one of the first hotels in Qatar to receive this certification.
“At Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park, we strive to maintain and improve the highest quality of our food and hygiene standards,” says Marcus Sutton, General Manager. “Being certified with the ISO certification is a great accomplishment and we are truly delighted to receive it.
This fully demonstrates our ongoing commitment in prioritizing the safety of our hotel guests and colleagues.”
A team from various departments, including Kitchen, Food and Beverage Service, Procurement, Stewarding, Engineering, Housekeeping and Human Resources worked together to achieve the certification.
This team under the leadership of Aswad Sharif, the hotel's Hygiene Manager, worked over the past year to put in place processes, communication channels and controls and plans for HACCP operation.
The ISO 22000:2005 is an International food safety programme that ensures the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in commercial operations.
HACCP employs internationally recognised standard principles for food safety risk analysis as well as the identification, evaluation and control of hazards considered significant for food safety.
Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park offers guests a range of dining options including Aramede, all-day dining restaurant; Rodizio Brazilian Churascarria; Misturado Brazilian Lounge; Savor, café and lounge; and Liquidity, rooftop restaurant.
