al khaliji hosts 5-A-side Football Tournament for the 2nd consecutive year
Al Khaliji Commercial Bank (al khaliji) Q.S.C. , the next generation bank, organised its second annual football tournament in support of Qatar’s National Sport Day and in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility.
al khaliji's 5-A-side Football Tournament, held on 13 February 2016 at Al Sadd Sports Club, involved a number of teams from local and international organizations and saw enthusiastic participation, sportsmanship and positive team spirit among all competing groups.
A total of twelve teams participated in the competition featuring, Qatar Development Bank (QDB), Tasweeq, Qatar Airways Company, Gulf English School (GES), Carnegie Melon University, Waqood, QNB, Amwaj, Al Fardan, Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), Q-Chem and a team from al khaliji Bank.
The first place was awarded to Amwaj, followed by Carnegie Melon University in second place and Q-Chem in third place.
al khaliji has previously taken part in several initiatives, as part of the bank’s larger corporate social responsibility program, which encompasses all facets of community development in Qatar, tackling environmental sustainability, social and cultural development, and humanitarian efforts.
