Nothing perks up the week and one’s mood quite like a midweek spa session.

Today I am checking out Saray Spa at The Marriott Marquis City Centre, Doha. I have booked for the Lemon and Mint Body Polish Treatment followed by the Fruit Enzyme Facial.

I am graciously greeted by Rose, one of the newly appointed therapists. She is effortless welcomes me and I feel instantly at home.

We start off with the body scrub treatment. A decadent product specially imported from Petra. It is liberally applied all over my body and then scrubbed off with careful attention given to key areas like feet, knees, and elbows. The therapist applies the scrub in a circular motion that mimics and improves blood flow to the heart.

All the body treatment products that are offered in Saray Spa have a marine base, abundant with ocean minerals.

The treatment leaves me feeling tingly, fresh and energetic.

I’m left alone to soak up the treatment and shortly, Rose returns to do my facial treatment. I have been eager to try this three-step facial for some time now.

First, a cleansing agent is applied and massaged into my face with the rhythmic anti-aging massage method. My face is wiped clean, a serum is applied and I am left for a few minutes to absorb the serum.

All Saray Spa’s facial treatment products are imported from France.

At this point, I thought I was in for my final step in the treatment, but I was in for an extended spoil not mentioned in the brochure. 

Rose then applies the fruit enzyme mask. My skin is left to soak up the natural wonders of this unique skin cocktail. The mask solidifies and is peeled off carefully, leaving my skin like a fresh blossom and as soft as silk. 

A final application of moisturiser is applied before we wrap up our top to toe treatment.

If you are a busy, hardworking professional I would highly recommend Saray Spa for the quality of treatment and the timely manner in which it is delivered. If you have the luxury of some spare time, I would urge you to go early and enjoy the free pool and spa amenities before your treatment.
