Syria had undergone and still undergoing many destructions which lead its people to fleeing the country. The country has a long history and beauty in its culture, architecture and nature.
Qatar wants to honour this nation and host an exhibition to showcase five periods of Syria’s history and the glorious role it had on the artistic and intellectual history of the world.

You can explore Syria through digital renderings and learn about more than 120 objects that relate to the history and culture such as the Cavour Vase, vases that were made in Syria and/or Egypt in the 13th and 14th centuries.
The display will also include artifacts loaned from abroad like Istanbul, St. Petersburg, London and Paris. Whether you are Syrian or not, or ever visited this wonderful country or not, you will leave this exhibition with deep understanding and connection to Syria. You will appreciate the glory that it once held before the destruction that affects our hearts every day.
According to a representative of the MIA, there will also be a Bazaar market outside of the museum where you can buy great things of the Syrian culture and try their delicious cuisine. Click here to learn more about Souq Hamediya.
