New group to bring art closer to the community
To artists and art lovers of Qatar,
My name is Dimitrije Bugarski and I will be one of two artists to bring art closer to the community and connect each other. I work as an architect for a living, but sometimes I tend to be an artist first. Art was part of my life since early stages and what I dedicated myself the most which resulted in number of awards and achievements. The most significant ones: - gold medal in China 1997 – independent exhibition 1999 – first prize international pavilion competition 2012 - atlas of applied artists 2014 – Katara murals 2016.
When it comes to my art style it varies a lot, but I could put street art as the one giving me most excitement.
What we are expecting from this group is to give art and the people involved an exposure to art, to get art to the people who perhaps don’t have a chance to do it, but they would like to. Also we want to connect artists in Qatar, both local and expats and to grow this community because art gives our lives another dimension.
