WATCH: Highlights of the second edition of D3 Festival – Disco, Dandiya, Dance
The second edition of D3 Festival – Disco, Dandiya, Dance, Navratri special took place on October 4, 2019, at Al Jewan Hall – Al Dana Club, hosted by WiroHub events.
Dandiya is an Indian folk dance, originated in Gujarat, which is celebrated during Navratri, a celebration that continues for nine nights.
The dance attire includes bamboo sticks which are painted and decorated beautifully in bright colors, women are dressed in Chaniya Choli with Bandhani dupattas, and men wear traditional Sherwani or Kurta Pyjama. Instruments such as Dholak and Tabla are used for Dandiya.
The event will also feature DJs, a huge stage, live dhol, and LED walls.
