Why banking services in Qatar so bad?
Ok, we understand monopolies of many companies and hence the low level of services they offer, but why "Banks" do not realize that their services are a shame ??
I see that there are so many banks here, but they are for some reason not competing based on level of service, rather competing on gifts and special offers to trap new customers.
My bank, decline to give me a letter stating that my credit cards are canceled, without presuasive reasons.
I purchased a service using my old credit card, then the card got canceled upon my request. Now there is a refund, and the service company insisted that I bring a letter from the bank stating that the card is canceled, before they would accept the new card to process the refund !!
Anyone here have gonr through a similar scenario?
I just commented about the total banking services in Qatar. We can’t compare with UAE, that’s far better. It was a strange experience for me in Qatar banking they are behaving like doing some favor for us. Lack of training and qualified staffs are the main issues I feel. Most of customer relations executives are not aware of basic things or they are acting like that. Once we approach an executive next time we won’t like to face him.

UAE banking isnt good but qatar banking services are truely hopeless. Getting a letter for whatever reason is quite an effort not to mention expense. Commercial bank wasnt that cooperative either and charged for it too,but they all do dont they!
Compare with even U.A.E the banking services are very bad. I dealt with HSBC in Abu Dhabi and the service was good. Here I don't know about HSBC, but with QNB, I was disappointed.
When ever you call them for credit card settlement like revise the minimum balance etc, they simply accept your request and at the end of the settlement period no action taken. Worst service. Their online update is not matching with your paper statement.
If you need quality customer service never go near QNB.
I feel Doha bank gives better service, We are dealing in Doha Bank Dufna Branch and i am so comfurtable to deal with them.
We have our company account in HSBC and QNB, I was totaly fedup with there approch and atlast I reach Doha Bank. A smile can do a lot..
yup.... i have gone through this when i was banking with HSBC... getting a letter is quite difficult and they treat you as though you are doing them a favor. But i do not have any problem with Commercial Bank as well as QNB. Looks like the local banks are better....
