Waive Off Rental Contract

Hello,

I work in an government organization and my company offered me accomodation now.

So I want to break my rental contract.

But my real estate agent is not returing back my cheques and asking to pay the whole amount for the rest of the months.

How can I proceed further to resolve my issue.

Please help me.

These practices are nothing new from real estate agents and every now and then Qatar Living has a post from someone on issues with real estate agents.

Suggest you go to Rent Dispute Settlement Committee and lodge a complaint and it would be better if you can do it in Arabic. I guess their office is located near Holiday Villa on the C-Ring road. You can get further details by visiting their website.
