You have got to see the pyramids in your lifetime .. Obviously..

I had one of the best time of my life there.. I went inside one of the pyramids it's an amazing experience to actually be inside one.. If you can take the heat well.. I believe it's worth it.. It's like getting inside a time machine or something.. Old Egyptians were so powerful it's sooo inspiring..If you like history you'll apsoloutly love it..

I wrote something about my trip to the pyramids here in my blog:

http://www.qatarliving.com/blog/%5Buser-raw%5D/the-dominoes

About food, welllllllllllll the only way to prevent getting sick is to not eat at restaurants..many restayrants are just not so clean....even the coffe can have a bad milk in it.. Unless you have a very strong immune system.. If I were you I would survive on fast food , or cheese and bread and stuff like that.. The supermarket products I mean..(Or you can go to expensive restaurants..I guess!)

Go to Khan AlKhalili… A beautiful traditional place where you can see lots of cultural features of authentic Egypt..and where you can buy lots of souvenirs.. It's really FUN FUN FUN you won't have enough of it..

Becareful with the scams.. Lots and lots of it there.. If someone stopped you in the street and congratulate you for winning something just don't be so excited about it lol.. The majority of people there are really friendly though… Just beaware..

Beggars are soooooo many it just breaks my heart.. And they insist on getting something outta you.. better keeping lots and lots of change in your pocket just in case..

Keep your belongings in somewhere safe.

See, Egypt is nice.. It's just that poverty there is a big issue .. So that's why unpleasent experiences can occure..

Be safe, have fun.

I love Egypt and I go there every now and then.

We were asked a question and therefore we are within our rights to answer the question in a truthful way, as you did.

I did not insult Egyptian people; I actually like them. However, after being there on holiday and living there, I PERSONALLY, can think of better places to go!

having an unpleasant experience somewhere even if repeated more than once depending in many things but above all not knowing the places where you can truely enjoy your time ..

regarding egypt there are lots of places where you can really have an uncomparable vacations more than many other places in the whole world so the key is knowing

N.B you might say that this isd my opinion coz am an egyptian but check other people`s comment to find how mistaken you are

Egypt is one of those places where you think you have so to see. I had been once before I went to live there and it was crap! People were lovely but such a massive let down. The road up to the Pyramids as a shanty town. Looks nothing like you imagine when you get there etc. The boat trips, massive let down. I could go on.

Living there was Ok. Great social life but as a holiday destination, think, third world with the worst Euro Trash and you are there.

Go, see for yourself, but to be honest, try somewhere else, Petra, Oman, Hatta Fort!

Dont go to 5 stars hotel!

Go for 3 stars only as you will be out most of the days,

You can see a lot of these hotels in garden city. They will also arrange your tour.

If you have time visit Sharm Al Shiekh.

You will enjoy it there specially if you dive.

I would strongly suggest one of the Nile river tours...my hubby and I did it last spring and yes, it was a quick one but at least you had tour guides to help you get where you wanted to go and it was quite enjoyable.

From that experience we've decided to go back and meet up with one of the tour guides we met on the first trip and do our own personal tour for much longer.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
