Visa Status : Closed

Hi all,

I did my medical and fingerprint,but did not processed with RP, i resigned from my job within probation period, my company told me as you dont have Your RP once you exit your visa will be automatically cancelled. But when i checked the visa status now its showing CLOSED, why it's not showing cancelled? And what if its showing closed? Will it take some time? Or do i need to ask them to cancel it? If its closed means new sponsor in future will be able to get new visa or not?
