Umrah by road

i am planning to go for Umrah with my family Insha Allah... next month by road. i have a car owned by me..not under any loan. Please confirm the following: 1) Is there any age limit for cars? my car is 2004 model still in very good condition checked by Honda service and confirmed for Saudi travel. 2) i have third party insurance cover only. is it necessary to have comprehensive cover by rule?

you just need the visa for saudia arabia . I dont think that an insurance cover for saudi is required

I don't think there exists any age limit for cars entering S Arabia but you must have insurance cover for S Arabia. I don't think you will be able to get comprehensive insurance due to the car being an old model. Possibly insurance cover may be different in this respect in S Arabia. You can check this out with some insurance companies in S Arabia such as Ace Insurance. Try discussing this with some Haj & Umrah agents here in Doha such as Cozmo Travel at 44073444 and they should be able to guide you better.
