Transferring money to the United States
I initiated a mone transfer to the United States a week ago and it hasn't gone through. I worked through QNB bank on Thursday. Of course I will stop by the bank and ask what has happened.
I noticed that the transfer had to go from here to Goldman-Sachs, then to an intermediary bank, then to our bank.
Is anyone else sucessfully transferring money directly, or should I get in line at Lulu's with everyone else and use Western Union?

It has been eleven days now. QNB has initiated a trace. I ended up sending some money by Western Union. Expensive.
I would prefer to walkin into an UAE Exchange branch; they charge only 45 QR with 15 $ bank charge and get the money in 2-3 days in my account.
WU will take 8-11%, ouch! A wire transfer is best but it can take 5-7days.
