I suggest you get a business consultant by your side, you are new in Qatar and want to start a business? It's a great attitude but first you should know what you are engaging yourself in. As for consulting, you can even have the online option, that's how I did with Trianz and I am not sorry for trying.

you need:

-your current sponsor approval for your part-time job (business);

-the Commercial registration; Immigration license and Municipality License to register your business;

-the municipality approval of the location of your business;

-QR 200,000 locked in your business back account in order to finalize all the registration issues...

and few other minor things that are not even worth to be mentioned here....

Im looking for a qatari partner or a sponsor to start it up. I am planning to visit aqua art this week and see what they've got and who they r catering to and jus knoe what the market is here in qatar.

Well i knoe abt aqua art n its quite big n from what i knoe they r the only ppl in qatar who r professionals in this feild. well such a company usually makes it expensive for ppl who like to setup an aquarium where my aproach is gona be very simple and cheap with quality stuff. I have rare koi which range from 100USD to 10,000USD with certificate and other fish which range from low to high prices. to start off with i am planning to just concentrate on fresh water since it is the easiest to maintain. apparently i need a qatari to import goods and open up a company or a retail outlet.

Aqua Art are next door to my showroom. They sell everything you have mentioned Anomonis. They are doing a massive trade. They are always busy with people waiting outside for them to open in the evenings.

If you can pull it off, I'm sure you will do very well. But just remember you will be up against very established competition.
