Dear Melwyn, we are also new to qatar and looking for a fulltime Nepali housemaid. We are an Indian family. Since you mention that you know the process for housemaid visa, can you elaborate a little bit on how to go about it.

Its only been 5 months since we arrived in doha and therefore, do we need to have 6 months bank statements as i've heard, to apply for a housemaid visa? Please do enlighten!

Keshav, I can arrange for the approval. In fact I am in the process of getting the approval as of this moment. I would not mind local agencies or agencies or agencies in the respective countries as long as I get the right person.

Rinzul, as I understand the going salary for a Srilankan Maid is about Qr.800/- per month. However, I would definitely not mind the salary to Qr.1000/- within a couple of months if the person is good.

Recruitment agencies will only help in recruitment provided you have approval for Sri Lanka or Nepali Housemaid.  It is not clear whether you are looking local hiring or recruitment agencies from Qatar or respective countries.
