Can anyone advise me on how to sell furniture that is too big to be moved out of the house in one piece?? Do i have to dismantle it before selling it or will the person who buys it from me have to do the job?? And if I have to do it, how do i go about it? is there someone(company) who will dismantle it and transport it to the new owners place?? Pls help cos am totally lost!!

Thanks for your replies guys..... unfortunately for me the company accomodation is fully furnished and considering the ever shrinking sizes of apartments nowadays its gonna be impossible to cramp my furniture with whats already there!! If you care about your furniture, the company accommodation is not furnished, and you furniture will fit in you new accommodation if I were you I would take it with you.
You can go to the second hand market in Najma and get one or two helpers to do the packing and removing they will also supply the transport. They are well versed in their job and are good at it in most cases even connecting washing machines and air conditioners. They will dismantle anything for you.
However, make sure you handle the price before you do it as afterwards you may be shocked.
Good luck

The souq name is Souq Haraj and it is located in Najma
Thanks for the reply....i will let u know abt the sofa set when am plannin to sell :) btw...do you know where those shops that buy everything are located? possible in the souq area?
yes sure. everything has a value unless some furniture is badly damaged and is not worth it then you simply keep it in the old house.
Usually, thee are some shops that buy everything as a lot (very cheap prices they quote) or you can sell your items invdividually and arrange a garage sale. This is normal practice here.
If you are planning to sell you sofa set(s) and it is good quality then let me know.

Oh..almost my entire house save for a couple of kitchen items...have to shift from own place to company house in Oct....and am clueless on how to go abt it....the furniture is really huge and my front door is really tiny!!! :) U think anyone wud go thru the hassle of buying it and then having it dismantled and transported and then reassembled, considering it being second hand furniture??
eternity.
The buyer has to see and inspect the furniture. So you should not dismantle it. Whoever buys will dismantle and shift to the new place on their own expenses.
BTW what are you planning to sell?
