Roaches

Hello all - I wanted to know what do i do about the cockroach situation-- I' m currently living in a place which has roaches - I will be shifting out to a swanky nice place in a month and i'm afraid i might carry these pests along with me to the new house -- Should i do pest control in the empty new flat or once i shift my furnniture there? I'm confused please help!! Also is it expensive to get pest control done - I dont seem to have a choice though ----

every flat should be sprayed once in a while, the owner of my villa spray's once a month outside in the gardens offering incide every 2-3 month.

I don't know how expensive it is.
