Riding on a friend's car

I just want to ask if is it ok to ride on car with friend especially if he is a guy and with different nationality? I am confuse, I have a friend he is pakistani, he is the one who used to bring me on a church and mall sometimes I'm afraid to ride because police might see us,... I also want to know which is better to ride on a back or at the front? Please give me advise. Thanks

if you sit behind that will sound car lift :)
but as I have been living here for more that 6 years, they rarely stop a car with decent couples
