Hi friends,
I am planning to buy a car with reasonable price and resale. As I will be driving mostly to Dukhan and farthest areas of Doha so probably will have very long drives all the times. Ned your advise for a car that does not get me tired. Thanks.
Hafeez
a comfortable heavy use car which will still have some life and resale left in it after it's tough life?..well, as someone who's whole life revolves around cars/driving; I suggest to you a full options Camry or Accord. If you can afford it, the 6 cylinder Accord will make those long drives even smoother and comfy. The Camry is no longer sold as a V6. And regardless of what anyone tells you, there simply is no car that holds its value better or endures a high mileage life better than a Toyota or Honda. I know of one Camry that hadn't had its oil changed in almost 50k kilometers; it's still going strong at 700000 kms:-)..show me a BMW that survived such abuse and you can then buy one.
I went to see LCs other day at Toyota show room! My God! It really was not nice scene. When I checked the interior of LCs; I really don't know why the price tag is so high and why whole world is praising LCs. I am perplexed. Such a cheap plastic used in the interior and seating material is very cheap and ugly.
Bro, here is the expert advice in view of your particular requirement, look for Prado, or Camry with full options.
Maintenance and resale are good, plus they both have the finest and proven ability to give you the required service with almost no major maintenance or wastage of time.
Try the 4 wheel drives and get the one which you find comfortable to sit in and within your budget...any sedan can be a pain in the **** for long drives..my fav would be Porche Cayenne or a LC.
BMW has very good resale value as you the agency can buy the car if I want to sell it off and also they have a pricing techniques that you may check at their showrooms
Parts are expensive? I don't think so, as Lexus has similar prices as well. Also, The BMW car has a full service contract, so you won't be paying off any for few years
also depends on what you consider luxury. I'd say Land Cruiser or most Nissan SUV models would do but if you can spend more then by a Lexus SUV. Depends on your budget and what you define as luxury.

@ susuknott:
Thanks mate for your advice. You meant say that I should see a used BMW (2008-10)? Thanks.
Yes all those American and Japenese cars are using cheap plastics and charge lots of money, also the maintenance is every 5k km
Go to BMW showroom and check the 320i and X3
Believe me you will never regret it
Also ask them for the service package
go for gmc suv's with good interiors and petrol saving as well
Thanks once again to all!

Oh ! Cars, LC is good !
Dear friends,
Thanks a lot and hats off to all for your precious advice. Surely, it helps to choose the best possible option.
Thanks,
Hafeez
Practicaly the roads of qatar with signals every 0.5km does not advice a car of over 1.3L technically or to a maximum of 2.0L engine.
As Thelonius said where the hell in qatar are distances to cover more then 120km like in saudi or oman.
Buy a helicopter
Agree with Equin

What about a RR then.

Dont go for BMW at any cost, if you driving a lot...
No resale value, Parts are too expensive to afford which even cost a Japanese car.
I do drive everyday from Lagoona westbay area to Messaieed city (1 hour to office and 1 hour back home) in additional to other routes!
I did the right decision by buying a new BMW 335i which has a full service contract for 3 years!
The service is covered for the car including everything and I have no paid anything additional to the car price and installments
Of course, BMW is a very heavy quality and luxurious car and can take long milage
This is my advice
If you go for Japanese cars, you will be paying for service and also will not have that quality
Also note that the BMW cars need service every 18000km only but the Japanese ones are every 5000km

Luxuries Car ?
Reasonable Rates ?
Good Resale value after running long KMS ?
A car which doesn't make you tired ?
I would love to buy this car..
If you want reasonable car then it wont be luxurious and vice versa.Depends on your budget and your defination of luxury.
also depends on what you consider luxury. I'd say Land Cruiser or most Nissan SUV models would do but if you can spend more then by a Lexus SUV. Depends on your budget and what you define as luxury.
