QNB CC Problem

Hi,

I got a non QNB customer credit card in Nov 2006, all of a sudden it was stopped by the bank in Sep 2007.

I reported that to the city centre branch when I came back from leave in Nov 2007. after few months I revisited city center branch again and was told to write a report explaining what happened exactly & I did. Nothing happened, I went back to the same branch where I told that they can't do anything for me and I have to report to collect dept in their C ring road branch.

When I went their in Jan 2009 the lady their checked my statements and told me that the balance accumulated on the cc is not based on purchases I made and based on that I don't have to pay anything, she filled application and informed me that the balance will be zero in the 2nd statement I will get from that date. She gave me her office phone number.

Nothing happened after 2 months & I'm still getting sms with a balance that increase every month. I was not able to get hold of her over the phone despite my efforts to do so.

@ days ago I went to the card section in C ring road branch and came to know that they moved from 1st to ground floor and the lady I met last time already left the bank.

To make things worst I was told that the balance is 3000 and I have to pay 2050 before they can cancel the cc.

NB: I was charged 300 riyals twice in Nove 2007 & Nov 2008 although I didn't get the cards.

Anyone has similar experience? I need suggestions please? Do you know the right person to contact as employees in card section do not help that much.

Customer Service is Nil.

I doubt if they will refund you any amount.

miss saigon this exactly what they did to me, they charged me QR 300 twice for cc renewal even though I never received the card.

You better follow up the case now otherwise you will end up with higher balance to pay as in my case.

I think QNB mainly focus on Business with companies and government, it is not the right choice for individuals.

my qnb cc expired last 31 May, i was waiting for a new card by post but to no avail, i checked with city center branch why i didnt received the new card yet, then i was informed that since i was not a qnb account holder they didnt issue another cc after the expiry date, i have less than qr500.00 outstanding balance and pay my monthly dues on time, whats even more surprsing was they charged me for my cc renewal sometime on april.

Chill guy.... This is some customer service I would say...

I have had similar problems in past, I was charged for an additional ATM card whoich was issued because of Bank mistake and they made me pay for it...... Customer service in banks across Qatar is non existent .... and considering that QNB is the biggest bank you can imagine about others,........

My advice pay the bill and quit... for their counter will not stop ticking......

Id did, all they offered me to reduce the balance to QR 2050.
