Yeah, my husband said there was a complete SCRUM at the airport last night, including a 50 minute traffic jam just to turn into the airport. Then another 40 minutes in line just to get into the building. Fortunately he has a new e-gate pass and was able to by-pass the longer security line.

Even if the place shut down , there will be no mass exodus.. We will whinge and whine, complain and beat our chests with disdain.

Then we'll just settle back, brew our own and life will go on...

Sorry this thread got knackered... I have it on good authority that the QDC will be open on the 22nd of September (2009). Selling of illegal plonk i will not tolerate as this will make it hard for all of us, there will be no more; espically with the trash quality of comments here, kind regards Rich

Yes, huff2u. Hotels which sell alcohol are haram, too. But you know who gains from this: the government. There are 100% taxes on alcohol products! This so-called Islamic country has an "open-minded", modern government which is interested more in money than in keeping the country halal.

I'm not too pleased about his offering to sell alcohol illegally on this website either.

because he acts and speaks like a 10 year old. I have never been so insulted from an ill educated trogladite. Trying to add to the post with a rational explaination as to why illegal plonk will knacker it for all, then i get this childish rant. MOD please look at this user and ban him, even better report him (aminoo) that way it will do us all a favour, he is also selling but wants the place closed down, doesnt make sense. thank you Rich

if QDC is haram in selling alcohol.. then all the hotels here are also haram!!

QDC and its wares being haram, you are certainly spot on with the prices at the hotels:-) Me thinks you are just jealous because you cannot get a permit to buy from QDC...

can get the place shut down. All trying to bend the rules for a quick buck. Please grow up, it just makes it bad for the 99.9% of the QDC population who abide and respect the rules.

Just as the thousands faithful who silently wonder when this watering hole center would open up. My guess is right after the eid celebrations 23rd onwards.
