It's always there to stay for as long as Qatar will exist in this planet...

There won't be any immediate impact on expats as far as Qatarisation is concerned bcos the country is developing fast and they need more and more skilled and unskilled workforce to fill the positions vacant. This is not only in Qatar the whole GCC is and will face this problem soon. They must concentrate on localisation otherwise the country will suffer in the long run. We all have to go back one day! I wish if I could go back and settle in home land today itself!

Still the banks recruiting non-Qatari employees. But, after the selection and during the paper work, they are saying 'sorry', as the job is allowed for Qataris. It's happening especially in Banks. So, be carefull before you resign a job for the job in a bank.

Qatartization is and will always be an issue as long as the country is growing faster than the growth of numbers graduating from the Qatari education system.

Depending on the bank or company hiring and on the job required a work visa my be issued or declined ..
