Qatar vs. England

What do you think is a better choice?

A) living in a small flat in central london with no car but the high-grade eduction that will almost definally pay off in the years to come.

or

B) Living the "high life" in qatar (6-bedroom house in Doha with your family, serval maids and more cars than you can possibly need) but with the not so great eduction system here.

what would you pick and why.

if you saw the free schools in england and the private schools in qatar (which i have) then you can say what you think but i still stick my opinion the free schools in england are better then anything i've seen in qatar.

Sorry, you're not going to convince me (or many others) that a top-tier school in the US is not equivalent to the same in the UK! The US is known for its educational and research system and the Nobel committee is very much aware of this.

I'm not saying that but it were muslims living there said that.

the price dosnt really matter, the problem is that the quility of eduction is very weak compared to england. Going to a american school in qatar is not the same as going to a american school in america and they are in no way comparble to any of the better universites in uk.

I agree that the best schools here in Doha are quite expensive when compared to the UK, but they are here because they are the top schools in the US. I believe they are considered quite comparable to the better universities in the UK.

atif tubelight is right.

Just like here you do not hear the bells of the Church same in the UK the voice of Call to pray stays within the Mosque.

In England, we generally tend to just pray in our homes but from time to time we go to the mosque and they do play the azzan but its not very loud.

atif: i think the imams (or mouzins) do call for prayers but they are not allowed to use loudspeakers in the mosque.

i agree with UkEngQatar.

Aeo: London is a cosmopolitan city and i never had any problems with practising my religion there. The quality of education is far superior there and even if you have to pay for it, its worth it.

I've been to UK few months back and i was informed that MUSLIMS are not allowed to give azaan [call for prayer] in their mosques. That's why i highlighted this fact. Really, I lived in that area / house where the mosque was just infront of us and i never ever heard CALL FOR PRAYERS from that mosque. So atleast, NO FREEDOM OF RELIGIOUS FOR MUSLIMS

I've looked around in Qatar & the top schools and universities are nothing compared to free/cheap schools and universities in England

England, but at least there are lots of Mosques.

Think about all the people who follow other religions, other than Islam, in this region, who are NOT ALLOWED to practise or follow their faith....

At least in the UK, you have the freedom of religion.

I think you have me confused with someone who gives a sh1t.

You are insulting UK!!!

How can you compare UK with Qatar?

They are totally different!

UK can be compared with US, Japan, EU, Australia, SG, HK

Qatar can be compared with Saudi, Pakistan, India

I would pick England and Qatar both, but at different times in my lfe. My early age and old age I would say England and the middle age I would say Qatar.

I'm a very devoted muslim and i have found it harder in to pray 5 time a day in england whereas in qatar there is a mosque at every corner but life with respect is something i would prefer. its hard to keep both of them but if i could then wouldnt england be a better choice?

England is better than QATAR Atleast they will give nationality and all equal human rights. They will not give preference on nationality, religious etc basis. Alot of options for all ages. Lots of business opportunities for all. Entertainment for all ages and much more too

.

As a Muslim, I can say that in Qatar we can call for prayers 5 times a day whereas in England its restricted. Only we Muslims have alot of problems to practice our religion freely in EUROPE or ENGLAND. Moreover, we muslims living in GCC can go for UMRAH or hajj very easily as compare to other NON GCC countries. Timings are very flexible for jobs.

.

On the whole, if ur seeking that life with respect, equal rights and better future for ur whole life then EUROPE is good otherwise if you want to stick to normal life with numerous opportunities to practice our ISLAM then GCC countries are our only CHOICE.
