Protecting your vehicle from sand and dust

Protecting your vehicle from sand and dust

As you are aware that in Qatar or in other neighbouring countries, we can expect dust or sand storms any time, especially during dry windy days.

The dust or sand particles in the storm can damage the paint and/or make the headlights become faded, as they hit the vehicle at very high speeds.

I have also experienced the same thing with my previous vehicle. Both the paint in front of the car and the headlights have been effected and the car looks really messed up.

While renewing the registration for my car, I had to rectify both these problems to get it registered.

We all learn lessons from our experiences. Now with my new car, I have applied protective film to the vehicle's headlights, fog lights and other parts of vehicle body, which are exposed to being hit by sand or dust.

I had it done from Anahdi outlet at Salwa Road. It can be done from other workshops as well. Also it is not expensive. As a result, I have been driving since long time and thank God there is no scratch or fade to my vehicle.

So my advise to you all, if you are driving your vehicle alot in dusty and sandy conditions, it is better to protect your vehicle by putting the protective film.

It will cost a little in the beginning, but it will prevent huge expenses for the damages.

Are there other workshops that others can recommend? Please add below. - Mod

This could save you time and money to restore 'Headlight Lens': http://www.wikihow.com/Repair-Oxidized-Cloudy-Headlights-with-a-Headlight-Cleaner

Or you can use tooth paste with baking soda on the headlight lens too.
