Dear Friends,

From next month i am willing to join driving school.

Please advise me which one is best considering instructors & end results.

Any special instructions for taking license?

Thank You,
Vinayak

Dear Qler

i'll suggest you Karwa, but do remember to get Indonesian/Filipino instructor, they are really nice, as well they don't need any stop for a cup of tea or sandwich from any grocery shop. :-)

Karwa should be good. If you are an Indian, you can get an instructor who can speak your mother tounge(Malayalam/Tamil/Hindi etc) or English. Produce your home country original driving licence alongwith photo and Qatar ID copy. They will arrange permission for short course, if you wish so. Karwa is strict on timings. But overall good.

If you drive car regularly in your home country, you just need the "road grip" in Qatar. Remember to follow the rules (seat belt, signals etc) always. When you go for the test, remember to go well dressed.

Indian of Filipino instructors are better than Arabs (sorry Arabs). Especially Egyptians (sorry Egyptians). If you're a westerner/english speaker, they will shout at you at every turn. Indians & Filipinos are nicer.

As for special considerations, the instructor will tell you all you need to pass the test (the 4 tests which the police will give you). It's pretty easy if you follow the instructions. My advice, during the actual test, try not to be nervous and just take it easy. If you're edgy, you will make a mistake. Good Luck!
