hi Debbie,

you can find different species of plants in the vicinity popularly known as the "fish market" in doha. It's so easy to get there, from al khor, just drive straight to doha until you reach Ramada roundabout, then you have to turn right (Salwa rd.). The way to jarir bookstore, go straight till you reach the second roundabout then make a U-turn on that R/A. Behind the building is where you can find the shops of plants. (just ask anybody there)....Good Luck....
