pickup for an acoustic guitar

People,
I have a wonderful 12-string jumbo acoustic with an output jack (unwired) in place. Now I would like to add a pickup to the arrangement and see how it sounds.

I need help zeroing on:

a) a pickup that would suit my contraption (and the pocket) the best

b) a person who knows his way around an acoustic guitar...somebody who can help me wire the pickup.

I may add I am more of a rhythm guy.
