The Pearl - Warning to considering tenants.

T Will
By T Will

Living at The pearl has some advantages, in selective locations........

I have for over a year faced a spate of late-night construction activity, and a very unresponsive approach from The Pearl.

This is the classic "nobody is responsible" sleight of hand, pass the buck, and "not my responsibility" management technique. Pity is - I like it here, but I do need to inform my landlord that his rental rate and property price is compromised, and his developer has NO sympathy and NO solution.

DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD YOU ARE TOLD - THE THEORY IS VERY DIFFERENT TO REALITY. Once committed there is late-night construction, (up to 3 am on occasion, and often week-long periods to midnight), and up to 8 concrete trucks hooting and revving, high-level hoists and loud cement pumps going 18 hours a day.

Just try to complain: I am fair and reasoned, and very clear, very persistent (a now year on now), and very accurate photographically recorded. All I have got after a year of effort is a vague agreement that I get a forewarning of the dates I can look forward to being kept awake until the wee hours. Customer service awareness is 'primitive' and unprofessional.

As always, contractors lie - so while promising an 11:00 pm concrete pour tonight, work is finished at 9:00 pm. I'll run for bed and get some sleep in case this changes: They are sure to lie again and work until 3:00 am tomorrow night.

Will update with pictures, but be aware of what and where you sign a lease / sale at the The Pearl.
BTW - No contractors have a pest control policy - so the neighbourhood rodent 'wildlife' is impressive. The contractor solution is to introduce feral cats, another pest and disease problem.

Good night.

I am asking where he is and I mentioned the regulations in my areas, so WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR PROBLEM?

Did I say the OP is lying? Me, I posted a fact (about the UDC regulation) and we follow it, is that wrong? And MANY follows the regulation.

Now if there are violators, I am not to deal with it. But you and LP just go on with your wild accusations and character assasination.

You find my initial commet wrong, Moza? Tell me, WHAT IS REALLY YOUR PROBLEM?

Flor shall I post the traffic regulations here as we all know that the motorists here obey the law!

All we know is the people in some of the towers suffer from construction at all hours of the day and night, well unless you want to call them all liars.

is only on exterior work, and believe me, many are called now to report at MOI to explain why they were caught violating the memorandum of Ministry. And the PENALTY is huge. Well maybe some can afford it!

BTW Uken, we are working at LPE. But the same UDC regulations I saw also at LPW before and the office have it also for Qanat areas.

Precisely I am asking the OP where he is?

Nothing is wrong with that Flor, and calling you a liar was "NOT ON"

Flor, come on, do you believe that people really follow those regulations especially on a Construction Site like the Pearl.

The mid day no work ban is in place but you will still see a lot of companies disobeying this regulation.

So I am not surprised at all that a Work site like the Pearl is working on a 24hr basis.

You may be working on one project, but the Pearl Qatar to me is still one big Construction site and will remain for many years to come.

I was asking the OP where he is located because in my area of work I mentioned the regulation. So what's wrong with that?

And then people will accused you of lying? Where did I lie? Is my comment a lie?

Documents are one thing Flor, reality is another matter entirely, some the docs in this sandpit aren't worth the paper they are printed on!

For T Will I understand your problems, the Pearl was not as it was sold. At least you can go down stairs have a meal with a large glass of wine to help you sleep..... oh wait, they stopped that too....

Moza, he's just a usual liar, as the OP mentioned.

Actually I have noticed alot of rat activity around the piles of rocks that make up the edges to the islands, there are always plenty of little paw prints in the sand.

I suppose when someone goes down with weils disease they will start to eradicate the problems.
