Hi, I'm confused to chooce between Nissan pathfinder and Ford Explorer. Did anyone can recommend any of them based on real experince with the car and/or service
my friend dont realy rely on the 5 years garantee because if ;for example somthing happened to the gear or the engine and when they checked the car found some sand or salt drops they will cancel the garantee immediatly .
Husam has a very good point. Before 2006 I wouldn't have gone near the Explorer. It has changed alot. My suggestion is that you test drive both cars and get a 'feel' for what you like.
My explorer does very well on Sand dunes, not that we use it much in the desert. The Nissans have always been better for the desert, but I trust the explorer on the road for it's safety features. Plus it's just lovely to drive.
All in all Nissan is a better car; but you have to make a choice on what you like and can spend.

i compre 2007 model for both, and ford have a pormotion 5 years garantee and 3 years free service, it means for comming 3 years will hv only fuel expense, also i know the resell value for Nissan is much better than ford, but before thinking in selling. Which one during the comming few years you will enjoy more.

Hello my friend
Iused to have explorer but i sold one year ago a really faced many problems .
first is is not a desert car , so the 4x4 system is so week on sand and it was shutting down each time i go to the dunes .
second the spare parts here are so expensive so i used to buy the parts from UAE whitch takes time
the only advantge for explorer that is a very relaiable car in the city.
Now pathfinder 2001,2002,2003,2004 are very good cars and i have 2001 and i vever enterd a carge until now thank god
and afcourse it easy to find spare parts out of the company for nissan and rearly you can find for Ford from my experiance
but if you are talking about the new one , it is the best without making comparison with any car in its class belive me .
my father has Armada ( the big pathfinder ) and you realy feel like you are in a fast monster.
